My Tragic Artist Story

Every great artist has a tragic story, right? If so, I am certainly destined for greatness! This past year has presented more tragedy and loss than I ever thought possible. I survived a tornado, pandemic, losing several loved ones, a Christmas morning bombing, and most recently, a flood. That last one crushed me. I've spent six years building a body of work and laying the foundation for my art business. I lost EVERYTHING I've poured the last six years of my life into. EVERYTHING. I don't know how to move forward from here, but I trust this isn't the end for me. I've always been an artist and maker of things. I don't expect I will stop any time soon. Although the experience was painful, I believe a fresh start is an excellent opportunity to build a stronger collection.

The last photo from my studio, days before flooding destroyed everything.
